The owner of any dog within the Borough of Pleasant Hills is required to obtain a license as of the first business day of January of each year and every year thereafter. The owner of any dog more than six months old may obtain a dog license per Boro Code 150.1, at the Municipal Building, Administration Department, 2nd Floor for each dog owned or kept.  A license must be obtained as of the date the dog is six months of age. Therefore, if the dog turns six months old after the first business day of a year, a license must be obtained for the remainder of that calendar year.

License information required: breed, sex, general colors and markings of the dog, proof of rabies vaccine and also, the name, address and telephone number of the owner.

Owners must show proof of rabies vaccine from veterinarian.  2021 Dog Licenses are available for $10.00 at the Municipal Building, Administration Department, 2nd floor starting January 4, 2021.

  • Copy of Rabies Vaccination Certification
  • Self-Addressed Returned Stamped Envelope
  • $10.00 check made out to: Borough of Pleasant Hills
