First and foremost, Thank you!  Thank you for your continued support and understanding while we wave through this challenging time of COVID-19.  As we await Governor Wolf to move Allegheny County into the Yellow Stage, I want to give you an update on where we stand and what yellow will mean to Pleasant Hills.

Moving from Red to Yellow will give us more freedom but we must still be cautious.

Yellow allows you to leave your house, take a hike, go to a store, visit family & friends while still adhering to the CDC recommended social distancing.  Construction was reinstated and building permits are being issued by the borough.

Yellow does not allow playgrounds to be open, sporting events to take place or bars/restaurants to be open for dine in service.

The Municipal Building will be open to the public starting May 11, 2020 for building permits, police issues, purchase recycling bins, etc.  We ask that you wear a mask when entering the building and that you stay home if you have a fever of 100.4 or higher, have a cough or cold & flu like symptoms.  This is for the safety of our staff and others in the building.

We have not yet decided on hosting or cancelling the Summer Recreation Program or Community Day.  Once a decision is made on these items, you will be the first to know.

We encourage you to call with questions before visiting us in person, most questions can be answered by phone and followed up with documentation in an email.  Our main number is 412-655-3300.

Please continue to stay safe,

Mayor Trimbath

Good Afternoon,

At this time due to the extended stay at home order from President Donald Trump and Governor Tom Wolf we are going to continue with keeping the municipal office and community room closed to the public with appointment only access.  All the municipal parks and fields will also be closed to the public until this stay at home order is lifted.

If you have any questions about Borough Operations please call 412-655-3300 option 1.

Please continue to stay home and stay safe.

 Mayor Trimbath

Good Morning,                                                                                   March 23, 2020

Many thanks to all the borough residents that have respected the necessary steps that Pleasant Hills Borough has taken to address the Coronavirus Emergency.  In order to address the safety of our staff, we have adopted modified work schedules.

The Police Department remains fully staffed and operating on their regular schedule.  The Public Works Department, Pleasant Hills Sanitary Authority, Zoning, Code Enforcement, and Administration staff are on schedules to provide the necesaey services while working split shifts, as well as working form home.

The Borough athletic fields and playgrounds remain closed until further notice.

Please remember to follow the latest Federal, State, and local guidelines.  Links to the appropriate websites are located on the Borough’s website.

Your cooperation and patience is appreciated as we manage this unexpected situation together.

Sincerely,

William Trimbath

Mayor

Good afternoon,

We are closely monitoring information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control concerning the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and safety of all is of the utmost concern to us and it is important for all of us to exercise caution during this time.  During this National Health Crisis the Borough will be working with the State and County Health Officials to stay up to date.

Currently the CDC recommends that people with influenza-like illness remain at home until at least 24 hours after they are free of fever (100°F [37.8°C]) without the use of fever-reducing medications.

Please join us in our continued efforts by taking these simple precautions: Hands should be washed with soap frequently and for a minimum of 20 seconds, avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands and to cough/sneeze into the crook of the arm instead of the hands.

As of today, the Community Room will be closed until the end of March for the safety of our residents.

We will keep you updated with links and information as they become available to us.
